Oh Dear...

It was all going so well - Lampard's cracking header before half time and we're 1-0 up! All continues fairly happily barring a Beckham penalty miss.

Welcome Emile "f**king" Heskey (to give him his full name) to the match, who turns Paddy over on the edge of the area at 90+1. Very clever... Up steps Zidane and we've still got a point out of the game. Then Stevie Gerrard, pretty good all night, has a rush of blood to the head, back passes to TH14 (sorry, the French no. 12) who was desperately tackled by David James. Up steps Zidane again and it's gone from 1-0 to 1-2 in 3 minutes.

The only small glimmer of happiness is that despite my disapointment, at least all the scummy plastic Mancs and their players who made comments about the French Arsenal players will feel even more crap than I do.

Roll on Thursday - we so nearly won tonight and I think we might actually win the next two. We'd better do...

p.s. For anyone not in Europe, this is the Euro 2004 football competition.
