Yessss! Found a real one this time - overlord beanpoles. I believe it meets the googlewhack requirements (see below.) You can tell work is a bit quiet this afternoon...

My mate Glenn and I have just found that entering titlist entomologist is a googlewhack. Only I just found out it's not as they were on a wordlist. Bummer. (For details on googlewhacking, click on the link above...)

I've just had some info through from an old friend of mine who is doing a sponsored 1/2 marathon for a man wrongfully imprisioned on Death Row for a crime he did not commit. I'll let her take up the story:

"While legal representation is being provided pro bono (free) we still need to raise funds for investigation, expert testimony, psychological testing and other legal costs, and justice does not come cheap in the USA. In the past months, I have already raised over £12,000, but in order to continue meaningfully with Perry’s appeals we need to raise a further £20,000. I know that with everyone’s support we’ll make it.

To learn about Perry’s case, please visit www.perryaustin.org . This is a brand new website I have put together only this week so it is mostly under construction, but the basics are there. If you have any further questions about Perry’s case, please just ask.

I know that there are many charities out there to support, and it’s sometimes hard to decide what to donate to, but this is literally a life or death fight for an innocent man who desperately needs our help. And he’s my friend. I don’t think I could face losing him to the death chamber.

So please sponsor my half marathon– both Perry and I will be eternally grateful for your support. Every donation counts, large or small, so please give what you can. "

Why am I supporting it? Well firstly, as a paid up member of Amnesty International it's the sort of thing I donate money to stop these sort of things happening, so it's in effect an extension of the cause. Secondly, from what I've read about the case, it's a decidely dodgy situation that should never have manifested in the first place, and finally I've known the runner for over 20 years and the prospect of seeing her do anything like this is too good to miss!

Just to remind you, you can find out more details at www.perryaustin.org. If nothing else, it'll make you think about the US Justice system.
